Founded in 1980 in East London by Mohammed A. Matin MBE. FCI began as a small atelier producing iconic outerwear for global brands.
Rooted in British craftsmanship and innovation, the company steadily expanded — bridging European design sensibilities with world-class manufacturing capabilities in Bangladesh.
Today, FCI operates multiple specialized business units across woven, knit, tailored, and performance categories, serving leading brands across Europe and North America.

Four Decades of Progress

1980
Foundation of FCI
Fashion Club International (FCI) was founded by Mohammed A. Matin MBE in East London. Rooted in British heritage and craftsmanship, the small factory quickly gained recognition for producing iconic Burberry trench and duffle coats — laying the foundation for a legacy in premium fashion manufacturing.

1984
Building a Global Identity
The family business officially became Fashion Club International, symbolizing excellence, integrity, and innovation. FCI began expanding globally, bridging British design sensibilities with emerging production capabilities in Bangladesh.

1997
Bangladesh’s first dedicated outerwear production unit
FCI launched FCI BD, Bangladesh’s first dedicated outerwear production unit. The facility set new benchmarks in quality and ethics, earning nine “Best in Country” awards and establishing FCI as a pioneer in responsible fashion manufacturing.

2009
Expanding into Premium Formalwear
The company introduced Talisman, its formalwear division, specializing in premium ready-to-wear garments. Operating from a 200,000 sq. ft. facility, Talisman became known for world-class craftsmanship and collaborations with global brands.

2015
Diversifying into Knitwear & Casualwear
FCI expanded further with Helicon, an end-to-end knitwear solution, and Alliance, catering to the growing ladies’ casualwear segment.

2020
Advancing into Luxury Tailoring
The group launched Sartorial (now Talisman II), entering the premium men’s tailoring segment with a focus on precision, fit, and refined craftsmanship.

2023
Strengthening Performance Fabric Innovation
FCI acquired Young International and completely redeveloped the site from the ground up, transforming it into Talisman Performance, a state-of-the-art, purpose-built synthetic fabric facility with a projected production capacity exceeding 35 tons per day. This milestone reinforced FCI’s commitment to sustainable, high-performance textile innovation and next-generation manufacturing excellence.

2024 Onwards
Driving Sustainable Global Growth
FCI continues to invest in its people and planet - empowering 11,000+ employees through wellness and creative initiatives, achieving a 20% reduction in energy and water usage, and doubling rainwater harvesting. Today, FCI stands as a global symbol of innovation, craftsmanship, and conscious growth in fashion manufacturing.
